Automotive and consumer electronics provider VOXX International has launched an eCommerce platform, the Orlando-based company announced Monday (Sept. 19).
According to a news release, the first customer to use the platform is VOXX’s subsidiary Premium Audio Company, which operates brands that include Klipsch, Jamo, Onkyo, Pioneer, Elite, Magnat and Heco.
VOXX said the project has been underway for some time, with the company upgrading its customer experience in hopes of moving to a “newer, more consumer-friendly platform that would improve visibility, data aggregation, and various operational support functions.”
Pat Lavelle, VOXX’s president and CEO, said the platform will improve call times, data collection, routing and shipping information. In the case of Premium Audio, the platform offers new tools for customer service reps that will “improve visibility, reduce call times and improve resolution.”
The eCommerce platform features a simplified checkout experience, according to the release, with new eWallet features and more payment options offered through Amazon Pay.
“We have the ability to leverage this platform across any of other e-Commerce platforms in the future and will continue to invest in our business to drive positive experiences with VOXX and our brands,” Lavelle said.
Consumers value a simplified eCommerce checkout experience, research from PYMNTS and Checkout.com has found, with 91% of consumers reporting that a smooth checkout experience builds loyalty to the merchants and brands that provide it.
