ACI Worldwide, which offers up real-time electronic payments, said on Tuesday (May 24) that it has been accredited in the U.K.’s Faster Payments Scheme, garnering a certificate of accreditation known as a “trust mark.” In a release, ACI said that the accreditation shows that it is part of a roster that helps lead to financial institutional trust.
In remarks that accompanied the release, William Proctor, vice president and product line manager of UP Immediate Payments at ACI Worldwide, said: “ACI’s UP Immediate Payments solution for Faster Payments in the U.K. offers a real alternative for payment service providers, FinTechs, financial institutions and new entrants to participate in the U.K.’s Faster Payments Scheme at a scale appropriate to their needs.”
“The Faster Payments access program is creating an entirely new way to access the scheme, which will extend the reach of true real-time payments to millions more consumers and businesses,” said Craig Tillotson, chief executive of Faster Payments. “ACI Worldwide’s new offering is the latest demonstration of the traction being achieved and another important step in the creation of a competitive market for technical aggregation services.”
The firms noted that eight of 12 participants in the Faster Payments Scheme use the ACI’s solutions.
