Selena Gomez, singer, actor and entrepreneur, is investing in Gopuff, a grocery delivery firm, Fortune reported.
Gopuff, which has gained attention for its fast deliveries, hasn’t said how much Gomez is investing, according to the report. The company only said that, in addition to the contribution, Gomez is also becoming a strategic partner.
“The first time I heard about Gopuff was one night when I was hanging out with some friends at home,” Gomez said, per the report. “We needed something from the store, but no one wanted to hop in the car and drive, so someone suggested Gopuff. I was blown away by how quickly our order arrived. After that, I started hearing their name and seeing the Gopuff brand pop up all over.”
Gomez is also a co-owner and partner with New York-based Serendipity Brands, an ice cream company, the report stated. As a part of the deal with Gomez, Gopuff will be working with Serendipity to offer ice cream to customers.
Gopuff Senior Vice President Dan Folkman said in the report the company is “super passionate about working with local brands.” He said Gomez has an ability to reel in more customers due to social media reach.
Gomez is also partnering with a new media company, unnamed thus far, on mental health needs, according to the report.
Last month, Gopuff teamed up with Chase on a set of new delivery rewards, which will give delivery customers a new way to earn credits with purchases. Chase said the program is open to Gopuff users who also have Chase debit cards as their default payments.

Those customers will now receive an automatic $10 statement credit every month when they make a Gopuff purchase.
In addition, Gopuff has also expanded to London and nine other U.K. cities. The company plans to be in 33 locations by the middle of next year.
Gopuff was founded in 2013 and is based in Philadelphia. The company delivers convenience store items within 15-40 minutes.
