The online reservation space has gotten a little bit more crowded. GeekWire reported that, on Monday (Oct. 17), Resv is debuting in Seattle.
The site said that the firm is linking up with a “handful” of restaurants in the area in order to spread use of the company’s app, which allows users to reserve tables at restaurants via mobile devices.
The site said that the initial launch in New York City came two years ago, and the platform let consumers pay for reservations — paying for convenience, so to speak. The Seattle debut will allow for reservations to be free. Resy’s platform can contact users to make reservations via text alerts.
The restaurants launching include The Butcher’s Table, Monsoon and Brave Horse Tavern, among others. The service is now available in 10 cities nationwide.
