Transaction Network Services (TNS) said on Tuesday (April 5) that it has launched a new global message service focused on translation conversion. The firm said that the debut of TNSConnect2All will help customers — ranging from merchants to terminal providers and payments gateway firms — realize cost savings.
The firm said that the messaging specification is flexible enough to fit the unique interfaces of several payment processors. As a result, according to the release, merchants and others now have the ability to connect with several acquirers and processors, interfacing through a single connection to TNS. That enables devices to be certified with minimal effort to different processing platforms.
TNS said that its reach extends to connecting more than 400 card schemes, banks and other links in the payments chain. Added features include tokenization and encryption. TNS has a presence in more than 60 countries globally.
In a statement that accompanied the release, executive vice president and managing director of the firm’s payment network solutions segment, Lisa Shipley, said: “We are extremely excited about the potential of TNSConnect2All to simplify and streamline the payments industry. We believe TNSConnect2All’s broad coverage across a multinational footprint is unique in the industry.”
“With TNSConnect2All, TNS’ customers simply write to one core payment message specification, rather than having to write to multiple individual processor formats and protocols, enabling them to achieve vital time and cost savings. This flexibility is of critical importance as our customers face overwhelming pressure to keep pace with technological change, as well as evolving consumer demands. By removing the complexity associated with working with multiple acquirers, we are helping them retain their focus on their core business activities.”
