Hyperwallet, a global payouts provider, announced Tuesday (Dec. 6) it will start offering 24/7 contact center support in the early part of 2017.
In a press release, Hyperwallet said offering contact center support around the clock will allow English- and Spanish-speaking payees to connect with a Hyperwallet support specialist by phone or email at any time of the day, 365 days of the year.
“Persistent support availability is an important next step as we continue to address the payment needs of the world’s growing independent workforce,” said Brent Warrington, Hyperwallet’s CEO. “While many of our payees are located in the United States, we’ve seen a tremendous influx of globally dispersed payees on our platform over the past year. Part of that, no doubt, can be attributed to the new clients Hyperwallet added in 2016. But there’s more to it than that.”
Warrington went on to note that the gig economy is happening around the world, with many workers relying on freelance earnings to survive. But when they need support, they can’t wait until American business hours to get help. Expanding the hours of its contact centers aims to address the need of gig economy workers around the globe.
Hyperwallet said it will move existing clients to the new 24/7 support schedule through the first few months of next year, with it being made available to new clients shortly after that. The company will continue to offer support in other languages, including French, German, Russian, Portuguese, Korean and Mandarin, Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Hyperwallet said it will look at expanding the 24/7 support to other languages and contact methods during the course of the year as clients’ needs dictate.
