Verifone Unveils Integrated POS Offering, Carbon 8

Finding new ways to provide a more streamlined solution is something that most every industry in today’s fast-moving society is moving toward. At the very core of nearly every business is the money that flows through it allowing for operation to be maintained.

This week, Verifone debuted its new integrated point-of-sale (POS) solution dubbed the Carbon 8. Geared specifically towards small to medium-sized organizations, this new offering is a 8-inch high resolution tablet that runs accounting, real-time inventory management and staffing tools. As with the rest of its Carbon series, this new tablet will have an Intel high-speed chipset that will help it run fast, integrate into any POS software and third-party application.

Verifone EVP and Global Head of Solutions Glen Robson commented on this new offering in the company’s press announcement. He said, “When portability is more important and space is limited, we now have Carbon 8, which we see in the hands of on-the-go merchants for hotel checkout, pay-at-the-table, curbside assistance and other portable and mobile use cases. This latest innovation comes after last year’s introduction of our award-winning category killer Carbon 10, which strikes a perfect balance for those merchants who want a large countertop display with portability when they need it.”
