Brink’s Intros New Digital Cash Payment Product BLUbeem

Brinks

Cash management, logistics and payment solutions firm Brink’s Company is introducing a new product brand called BLUbeem by Brink’s, a digital cash solution to speed and simplify digital payment methods, according to a press release on Thursday (Dec. 16).

Customers using BLUbeem get a tech-enabled device that Brink will place in a secure spot at a customer’s location. All cash deposits taken by the customer are registered with the BLUbeem mobile app and the cash is transferred to an onsite device.

Once Brinks is able to digitally confirm the deposit, the customer is credited. After that, both parties agree on a mutually convenient time for Brink’s to pick up the cash.

Brink’s said it is partnering with payment providers to offer BLUbeen as part of a “comprehensive cash and card payment solution ‘bundle,’” according to the release.

“By integrating digital cash management, these payment providers can now offer their customers enhanced, real-time visibility of cash and the ability to make on-site cash deposits that settle just as quickly as digital payments.”

Next year, Brink’s has plans in the works to integrate BLUbeem into point-of-sale (POS) systems. The end goal is to deliver retailers a comprehensive solution from the platform’s interface that works with all payment options.

Next year, Brick’s has its eye on integrating BLUbeem into point-of-sale (POS) systems with an end goal of bringing merchants BLUbeem into point-of-sale (POS) systems. In 2022, Brink’s plans to integrate BLUbeem into point-of-sale (POS) systems to offer merchants a comprehensive solution for all payment methods directly inside the platform user interface.

“We have a tremendous white space market opportunity. We estimate that about 1.6 million U.S. retail locations do not have an effective solution for handling cash payments,” said Rohan Pal, chief digital officer.

“By creating commercial partnerships with digital payment companies, we can leverage their sales channels to reach these merchants,” Pal added.
