Linking platform Linktree has collaborated with PayPal to allow for global implementation of the Linktree Commerce Links, the company announced in a Tuesday (Aug. 24) press release. The integration will let creators make frictionless transactions wherever PayPal operates. They’ll also be allowed to take tips and donations and take requests.
Commerce Links, rolled out earlier this year, is a new Linktree suite to help with the aforementioned payments. The suite of tools gives users faster paths to payments and new opportunities for monetization, the press release states. By integration with PayPal, customers will now be able to connect with PayPal and get paid even easier through the PayPal or a debit or credit card. They will also be able to access more data on transactions, payment conversion rate and other things to help the customers manage their digital presence.
“As the creator economy grows, creators want new ways to collect payments and support from their audience with as little friction as possible,” said Alex Zaccaria, co-founder and CEO of Linktree. “We are excited to be collaborating with PayPal to further expand our solutions to our users globally and enable them to further manage and monetize their digital presence.”

“The pandemic has accelerated digital change and innovation across all aspects of our lives — including the digitization of money and greater consumer adoption of digital financial services,” said PayPal Vice President and General Manager of Blockchain, Crypto and Digital Currencies Jose Fernandez da Ponte.
Beyond this, the company has announced its intent to keep spreading cryptocurrency assistance around the world.
