Activewear brand Fabletics, which was co-founded by Kate Hudson in 2013, announced plans for a retail expansion across the U.S. in 2017.
The once pure play eCommerce business will open 12 new physical locations next year, adding to the 18 existing Fabletics locations that began launching in the Fall of 2015. The company confirmed that the new locations will bring the brand’s total retail store count to 30 locations throughout the U.S.
With the brand’s proprietary digital platform and 1 million-member base in place, Fabletics said it uses deep customer insights and enhanced market data to determine the most strategic locations for its retail locations.
The first opening will take place in Frisco, Texas next March, followed by Indianapolis, Indiana; Lexington, Kentucky; Schaumburg, Illinois; Boulder, Colorado; and Portland, Oregon in the second quarter of 2017. Beginning in July 2017, additional Fabletics locations will open in Scottsdale, Arizona; Cerritos, San Jose, San Francisco and San Diego, California and Paramus, New Jersey.
“Our inspiration for the store was clear and simple – we aimed to bring a hint of the active lifestyle elements that shape our customers’ lives inside while keeping the main focus on our amazing product offering and delivering a seamless customer experience. Less is more,” Dustin Netral, SVP of operations for Fabletics, said in a press release. “Ultimately, the store was designed to enhance our overall brand experience, inviting customers in to touch, feel and see the high quality fabrications, latest innovations and newest designs, while making it as easy as possible for them to shop the way they like.”
