Sally Beauty has rolled out a redesigned website, with enhanced functions and features designed to help the online beauty consumer. The company also added Apple Pay as a payment method along with the ability for consumers to shop from its Instagram feed, according to an announcement.
Sally Beauty Supply President Aaron Alt said in the announcement, “Sally Beauty prides itself in providing professional-grade products for all needs, and our evolving digital commerce capabilities will allow consumers to achieve beautiful results on their own terms. This is an important step in our transformation plan.”
With the upgrades, shoppers can tap into customized solutions for needs such as repair, color protection or anti-frizz with a feature for Shop by Solution. The site also has a “one-stop portal” for deals and brand offers “to make shopping easier and more streamlined for consumers,” the company said in the announcement. At the same time, shoppers can access education resources like how-to-videos for hair coloring at home.
The news comes as bebe rolled out an enhanced customer loyalty program and new online store while teaming up with Branded Online on both projects. Branded Online CEO Jan Nugent said in a January press release, “Cultivating a successful consumer lifestyle brand in the modern era requires not only astute vision and compelling product, but also personalized and connected shopping experiences, anchored by sophisticated technology.”
Nugent continued, “With its intuitive design and newly implemented, data-driven framework, bebe® is well positioned to scale quickly and deliver exponential growth in the online channel.” The new bebe website has a focus on discovery and personalization along with an intuitive user interface and mobile-responsive design. It also has an underlying analytics platform so shoppers can come across new products easily, access deals based on their interests and receive recommendations. The retailer also updated its clubbebe loyalty program, which seeks to bolster relationships with existing customers.
