Off-price retailer Five Below has expanded its collaboration with Instacart following a successful pilot launch with the logistics firm in December 2020, according to an announcement.
The two firms initially rolled out their partnership at some shops in Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Buffalo and Baltimore, in addition to locations in Texas, California and Florida.
“After witnessing the overwhelming response in the markets in which we first launched this service, we knew we needed to bring Instacart delivery to even more people, which is why we are so excited to be rolling this out in more than 700 new locations,” Felipe Zardo, senior vice president of digital for Five Below, said in the announcement.
The expanded relationship will enable additional customers to get same-day delivery of the retailer’s collection of merchandise for the summer season and the upcoming school year, including clothing, beach towels and pool floats, the release stated.
To start shopping from the retailer on Instacart, consumers can visit a page on Instacart’s website or download the Instacart app to their mobile device. Consumers can then enter their zip code and choose a local Five Below location to start putting products into their cart. An Instacart personal shopper will assemble the consumer’s order within the chosen timeframe for curbside pickup or same-day delivery.
“We’re proud to expand nationally with Five Below to give even more people same-day access to the goods they need delivered from their favorite value retailer,” Chris Rogers, vice president of retail at Instacart, said in the announcement. “Affordability and selection matter to families across the U.S. and, with this expansion, we’re allowing customers nationwide to shop from Five Below’s incredible assortment of fun and trendy products delivered in as fast as an hour, just in time for summer.”
PYMNTS reported in May that Instacart is collaborating with organization retailer The Container Store to provide same-day delivery.
