Bold Metrics, an artificial intelligence (AI) technology company, has grown its collaboration with Jos. A. Bank and Men’s Wearhouse, according to a Tuesday (June 29) announcement.
The effort comes as Tailored Brands, which has Men’s Wearhouse and Jos. A. Bank in its portfolio, “continues to double down on digital innovation in 2021,” per the announcement.
Bold Metrics’ Contactless Fit technology, which was rolled out in a limited number of stores at first, has now been implemented in over 650 Jos. A. Bank and Men’s Wearhouse locations.
With the technology, consumers receive poll questions, and Bold Metrics’ platform finds important points of measure and body shape to form a special 3D avatar, creating more than 50 body measurements.
Men’s Warehouse was the first company in the United States to roll out Contactless Fit back in 2020. “At Men’s Wearhouse, we understand that digital innovation is essential to growing the business, and this partnership is part of how we’re putting our customers’ experience first,” Chaitanya Pallapothula, SVP of omnichannel technology at Tailored Brands, said in the announcement.
Most tuxedos rented online at Men’s Wearhouse currently use Bold Metrics’ measurement technology, fueling a nearly 30 percent decrease in exchange rates, the company stated.
“Men’s Wearhouse has been a great partner and an industry leader when it comes to embracing innovation. We were excited to have them as the first customer to launch Contactless Fit in 2020, and have been thrilled with the results we’ve seen together over the past year,” Bold Metrics Co-founder and CEO Daina Burnes said in an announcement.
The news comes as Israeli firm MySize is teaming up with French fashion firm La Caserne to offer the MySizeID app. MySize said the app “has been proven to reduce returns by as much as 50 percent, and to increase average order value by as much as 30 percent.”
