OpenTable, an app that allows users to reserve tables at participating restaurants, is now testing a mobile payments function in a pilot based in San Francisco.
The developer announced in a Feb. 6. blog post on its company website that OpenTable users can pay their bill on the app.
“OpenTable mobile payments are currently being tested by diners at select restaurants in San Francisco. Over the next few weeks, we will be adding more diners to the test program and will provide you a way to request access,” the company wrote in the post.
Users add their credit card information to the app and are able to process payments with the participating restaurant, the company added.
