Open Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) eCommerce platform BigCommerce has integrated with Sage 100 ERP software.
The new partnership will enable B2C and B2B merchants to integrate their online storefronts and their back office, creating an end-to-end commerce solution, the companies said in a Monday (Dec. 12) press release.
“BigCommerce is proud to be one of the first enterprise-focused eCommerce platforms featured in the Sage 100 marketplace,” BigCommerce Vice President of Tech Partnerships Sachin Wadhawan said in the release. “This partnership will deliver huge value for Sage 100 customers looking to streamline their eCommerce operations and improve the buyer experience through a modern commerce platform.”
With the BigCommerce platform added to Sage’s accounting, financial, human resources (HR) and payroll technology, Sage customers who are looking to sell online will be able to show each of their customers exactly what they need to see, segment customers without having to maintain a second site and leverage advanced payment options, according to the release.
Sage customers will also be able to view, track and pay invoices online, customize merchandising and integrate with marketplaces like eBay, Amazon and Google Shopping, the release said.
“Now businesses have the convenience of a modern open SaaS eCommerce platform connected with significant Sage 100 accounting capabilities empowering them to scale their businesses, increase efficiencies with real-time updates at a lower total cost of ownership and ultimately provide a better shopping experience for their customers,” Regina Crowshank, director of ISV [Independent Software Vendor] strategy, sales and programs at Sage, said in the release.
Taking note of “payment cultures” around the globe will help merchants (and their payment service providers) capture high-growth emerging markets’ full potential, BigCommerce CEO Brent Bellm, Computop CEO Ralf Gladis and PayU CEO Mario Shiliashki told PYMNTS’ Karen Webster in a November interview.
