INSHUR, an on-demand insurance platform, has expanded its strategic partnership with Uber as it launches insurance products for on-demand livery drivers in Arizona.
This move follows the success of INSHUR’s insurance offering in New York and its recent acquisition of American Business Insurance Services (ABI), the companies said in a Friday (Sept. 29) press release.
The need for competitive insurance coverage that caters to the specific needs of on-demand drivers has become increasingly important, according to the release. INSHUR’s ability to efficiently scale its innovative insurance products for the on-demand economy across the United States is supported by its acquisition of ABI.
One of INSHUR’s key strengths lies in its sophisticated data modeling technology, which allows the platform to offer flexible pricing to on-demand drivers, the release said. Additionally, the company’s streamlined claims handling and processing capabilities ensure a faster and more efficient customer experience.
INSHUR’s strategic partnership with Uber has played a significant role in its expansion efforts, per the release. Since 2018, the two companies have worked together to integrate innovative tech solutions and provide hassle-free insurance products for livery drivers.
INSHUR’s proprietary data processing and embedded technology in underwriting not only benefit capacity partners but also enable the company to offer competitive and comprehensive on-demand insurance policies that align with driver lifestyles and driving habits, according to the press release.
With the support of Uber, INSHUR plans to further expand its business with on-demand drivers across the United States, the release said. The company’s scalable modular platform allows for rapid rollouts into new markets, positioning INSHUR as a leader in embedded insurance solutions for the global on-demand economy.
Dan Bratshpis, founder and CEO at INSHUR, highlighted in the release the alignment between INSHUR and Uber’s mission to make drivers’ experiences with insurance easier, fairer and more accessible.
Andy Parr, head of North America and corporate insurance at Uber, added that the strategic partnership with INSHUR aims to support drivers’ livelihoods by delivering a straightforward process for accessing insurance.
This news comes about two weeks after Uber announced it has extended another partnership, working with PayPal to enhance the payment experience for Uber’s customers and drivers. As part of that agreement, Uber will continue to leverage PayPal’s services for global card processing and will expand its use of domestic debit network routing in multiple markets.
