Two contenders have earned themselves a raise in this month’s edition of PYMNTS’ Provider Ranking of Payroll apps. They’ve each made a double-digit improvement to their score and picked up two positions in the ranking.
While they’re getting closer to the leaders, they have a way to go. The two top-ranked apps are 14 points ahead of the third-ranked contender.
Now, let’s take a closer look at the paystub for all the details.
The Top Five
Ranked highest is Paychex Flex. This app holds the No. 1 spot with a score of 100, as it did last month.
Two points behind is Paycor. In another repeat appearance, this app is the runner-up with a score of 98.
There’s another familiar name at No. 3. Alliance MyPay holds the same spot it had last time, now with a score of 84.
Just one point behind that contender is Rippling. This app has jumped two positions since last month, landing at No. 4. It’s also added 16 points to its score — which is now 83 — making this app one of this month’s movers and shakers.
Next up is QuickBooks Payroll. With a score of 73, this app has slipped one level in the ranking and now sits at No. 5.
The Top 10
There’s more movement in the ranking as TriNet has gained two positions and is now ranked sixth. As it has added 20 points to its score — which now stands at 66 — this app is also this month’s biggest mover and shaker.
Dropping two levels in the ranking and now running seventh is Zenefits. This app has achieved a score of 61, which is seven points lower than last time.
After a 17-point gap in the field, there’s the eighth-ranked contender. Payrollguru holds the same spot it held last time, now with a score of 44.
Just one point behind that with a score of 43 is Square Payroll. This app is ranked ninth — two positions lower than last month.
Directly behind that is RUN Powered By ADP. With a score of 42, this app has stepped down one level and now closes out the top 10 in this month’s edition of the Provider Ranking of Payroll apps.
