It’s easy to remain the top earner if you keep achieving a perfect score. That’s what the reigning champion in the PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Payroll apps has done again this month.
There are some notable achievements elsewhere in the ranking too. Among the highlights of this month’s action are two movers and shakers that have added six points and 10 points to their score, and several contenders that have moved up or down in the ranking.
Now, let’s punch the clock and add up the hours.
The Top Five
Still holding the title of “top earner” in the ranking is Paychex Flex. Like last month, this app is No. 1 with a perfect score of 100.
The runner-up has held onto its place too. Paycor is ranked second with a score of 94, which is four points lower than last time.
There’s a change at No. 3, though, as Rippling has moved up one level in the ranking with a score of 88.
Dropping back from that position, but just three points behind, is Alliance MyPay. This app checks in this month with a score of 85.
After a 13-point gap in the field, there’s another change at No. 5, as TriNet has gained a position with a score of 72. As this app has added six points to its score since last time, it’s also one of this month’s movers and shakers.
The Top 10
Next up is a tie between two contenders that have earned a score of 71. QuickBooks Payroll has landed here after falling one level since last month, while Zenefits has climbed one level. As Zenefits has added 10 points to its score since last time, it’s also this month’s biggest mover and shaker.
After a 27-point gap in the field, there’s the seventh-ranked contender. Payrollguru has gained one position since last time with a score of 44.
Not far behind that is Square Payroll, which has moved up a level with a score of 41.
Ranked ninth is RUN Powered By ADP. With a score of 38, which is four points lower than last time, this app closes out this month’s edition of the Provider Ranking of Payroll apps.
