Report: Only One-Third of Patients Get Healthcare Cost Estimates Before Visits Almost 90% of U.S. patients believe knowing what they owe healthcare providers in advance would help them plan, yet less than one-third actually receive cost estimates before their visits. The Wellness And Affordability report, a PYMNTS and CareCredit collaboration, surveyed more than 3,500 U.S. consumers to examine how cost transparency and payment flexibility help medical providers keep patients satisfied and loyal.
