Transfix and Highway have integrated their solutions for the trucking industry.
With their new partnership, Highway’s Carrier Identity Engine will be integrated into the Transfix Carrier App, increasing the transparency and efficiency of the app’s carrier compliance and onboarding processes, the companies said in a Tuesday (May 23) press release.
“Our partnership with Highway gives us quick access to curated key information about carriers in our network and those seeking to join it by helping us to evaluate qualifications and maintain access to vetted fleets while simultaneously streamlining the onboarding process,” Transfix Chief Product Officer Tony Tzeng said in the release.
Highway’s carrier identification solution is designed to solve the trucking industry’s digital identity problem, reduce fraud and replace the standard practice of visiting multiple sites to vet a carrier, according to the press release.
Transfix connects shippers to carriers with real-time freight matching and visibility to help shippers boost the efficiency of their supply chains and carriers reduce the number of empty miles driven.
The new integration will provide faster insurance review and greater transparency for those in the freight ecosystem, per the release.
“We are excited about working with Transfix,” Highway Chief Commercial Officer Michael Caney said in the release. “From the early days of working with their team they challenged us to raise the bar.”
This integration joins several other recent announcements having to do with the digitization of the trucking industry.
For example, in April, Transflo and Comdata partnered to create an app-based fuel payment solution for the freight industry.
The new Transflo Wallet powered by Transflo’s mobile app technology for the transportation sector and Comdata’s virtual card capabilities enables freight brokers to send digital fuel advances to carriers and drivers.
Earlier in April, T3 Tech launched software that supports the order-to-cash lifecycle of freight transactions.
The new TrueTMS transportation management system is designed for small fleets operating 20 or fewer trucks and delivers back-office capabilities that streamline and scale fleet operations.
