Buy now, pay later (BNPL) travel-centric provider Uplift on Tuesday (Aug. 17) announced a collaboration with Tripster, an all-in-one travel booking site.
Through the partnership, Tripster customers can book their vacations in one location and pay the trip off with monthly installments via Uplift. Vacationers can choose from more than 30 destinations throughout the U.S., including Florida, California, Texas, North Carolina and Tennessee. When booking, customers will have the ability to bundle hotel stays, amusement park tickets and more from Tripster.
Uplift is incorporated into the Tripster booking process and is available on all platforms, including mobile and desktop. When booking a trip, travelers will see the total cost along with the monthly payment amount. Customers can opt to book with no money down and make up to 12 monthly payments. Uplift does not charge late fees or pre-payment penalties.
“Tripster has always believed that a vacation shouldn’t feel like work,” said John Johnson, Tripster’s founder and CEO. “With the addition of flexible payment options through Uplift, we’ve taken one more potential stress point out of travel planning by allowing our customers to spread the cost of their vacation over low monthly payments.”
In addition to the collaboration with Tripster, Uplift recently announced a partnership with Southwest Airlines, PYMNTS reported. Through that arrangement, travelers can book a flight to more than 100 destinations and opt to have equal monthly payments spread out over several months. Southwest is the 16th airline to offer BNPL availability through an Uplift partnership.
