UnionPay, Discover Launch Prepaid Card In U.S.

Chinese banking giant UnionPay and U.S. network Discover have launched a new prepaid card marketed to Asian American communities in the US, reports Fox Business News.

    Consumers will be able to use the card at U.S. merchants that accept UnionPay or Discover cards, and will run through Discover’s network. The card will serve as the first UnionPay-branded card in the U.S., be issued by Bancorp Bank and come be denominated in U.S. dollars.
